The History of the Air Hotel dates back to 1978 when the center to place crews was built for airport needs. In 1992 “Domodedovo” airport obtained the status of International airport.
Creation of the East Line Group was started in December 1993 when the first company of the future group entered Russian international cargo transportation market. Rapid growth of the company’s business provided the flow of financial resources for intensive realization of further development programs. Soon after its start-up East Line became a leader in basic directions of cargo transportation including China, United Arab Emirates, India, Turkey, Italy and South Korea.
The company’s further development would be impossible without a radical improvement of the airport’s infrastructure, which in its turn required expansion of activity and development of East Line’s specialization in a number of directions. In September 1995 this resulted in the company’s Board of Directors decision to approve the program of diversification and creation of a group of companies that would be capable of offering a full variety of aeronautical and airport services up to the world standard. Within the approved strategy of the group’s development in 1996-1997 nine specialized companies were established on the basis of the Domodedovo airport. At present these companies provide end-to-end servicing for air carriers carrying out flights on internal and international airlines.
In 1998-1999 basic objects of the airport complex were reconstructed at Domodedovo airport. The reconstruction included the preventorium that did not meet quality standards before the reconstruction and could not was not a modern and high-class hotel of the East Line Group. The basic reconstruction of the terminal city of the Domodedovo airport was finished in 2000.
A hotel is a necessary element of the infrastructure of any big airport. At present Domodedovo international airport has a modern Domodedovo Airhotel hotel complex which is a part of the East Line Group. Complete reconstruction of the complex was finished in 1998. The hotel is situated in a few minutes by car from the terminal city. A free minibus makes trips between the hotel and the airport for the comfort of our clients.
The hotel administration is exercised by highly qualified personnel trained according to hotel managers training programmes. Thanks to good equipment and the personnel’s ability to solve any problem of the guest, the Airhotel provides everything for our guests’ rest.
